ERisk & RMA To Offer Credit Portfolio Management Workshop
Thursday, October 28, 2004
New York, New York -- ERisk, the leading provider of integrated software and consulting solutions that enable financial institutions to enhance their performance through better risk and capital management, today announced that it will offer, in alliance with the RMA, the Credit and Portfolio Management Workshop - a new leadership and management training event for senior credit portfolio managers and risk managers. The event will take place November 16-17, 2004 in Chicago, Illinois at the Wyndham Hotel.
The workshop is designed for professionals who want to move their financial institution toward a portfolio approach to measuring and managing credit risk. Participants will learn about a variety of portfolio management issues and concepts, including the importance of capital in an environment of change, the role of portfolio management in terms of redefining the credit function, and key issues related to the Basel II Accord. The program also covers data sources and portfolio models, leading to the establishment of a credit portfolio management function.
The event will include lecture, round table discussions, and case study exercises that explore the practical aspects of executing credit portfolio management initiatives. Curtis Tange, a Managing Director at ERisk, will lead the 2-day session. As a consultant to clients on risk management issues for over a decade, Mr. Tange has extensive experience in all forms of risk, including credit, market, insurance and operational risk, and he is an expert in risk quantification and risk-adjusted profitability analysis.
Seating for Mr. Tange's presentation is limited; therefore, individuals are encouraged to register early. Registration for the ERisk-RMA Credit Portfolio Management Workshop can be completed on the RMA's website at www.rmahq.org (click on the "Educational Opportunities" link), or by calling the RMA's Customer Care Center at 800-677-7621. The fee is $1,295 for RMA members and $1,950 for nonmembers. A second workshop is planned for the spring of 2005.
