Benchmark Data Service

BancWare ERisk recognizes that many financial institutions have failed to retain the data necessary to drive comprehensive risk management analysis. We are dedicated to assisting organizations regardless of the quality and depth of their historical data. In order to assist these institutions it is often necessary to “fill in the blanks” left by inconsistent data collection and retention.

In response, we have created a Benchmark Data Service that leverages off a repository of BancWare ERisk owned, historical data derived from our proprietary data stores, industry sources, internal analysis and third party licensed data. At present, we have in excess of 750,000 records of individual loan positions by industry and geography, with associated risk ratings. We also have a comprehensive loss database across many market segments and geographies. This data is aggregated and analyzed to create customized benchmarks that can be specified by geography, size and type of institution.

BancWare ERisk uses elements of the Benchmark Data Service during a typical Abacus implementation and clients can purchase data from us for use in any consulting project. We are committed to updating the benchmark data on a regular basis, providing continually refreshed benchmarks for economic capital, RAROC, credit risk and market risk.
