The event, held on September 16, 2005, was targeted to Chief Credit Officers, Chief Risk Officers, senior bank executives, loan officers, risk managers and other professionals with responsibility for risk and capital management strategy at their financial institutions.

Attended by over seventy participants from fourteen different countries, the webinar featured a presentation by Mr. Hans Helbekkmo, Managing Director at ERisk, on the subject of Commercial Risk Ratings, and included a client case study presented by Mr. Mike Sperry, Chief Credit Officer, and Mr. Tim Schools, Executive Vice President Corporate Development of The South Financial Group.

"This event was designed to bring practitioners up to speed on some of the widespread developments in risk rating practices, many of which have emerged in the last few years," stated Mr. Helbekkmo. "By combining our experiences with a presentation from a bank that recently implemented some of the advanced approaches, we believe the participants came away with a range of practical ideas on how to integrate these leading concepts into their own processes."
